SA v IND 2021-22: WATCH- Ashwin, Pujara and Siraj dance to celebrate Centurion Test win

India became the first Asian team to win a Test in Centurion.

Indian team began their South Africa sojourn on a winning note as they defeated the home side by 113 runs in the first of the three Tests in Centurion to go 1-0 up. Despite a whole day being washed out due to rain, India managed to win the Test with lots of time in hand on day 5.

The Indian pace battery came to the party, picking 18 out of 20 wickets to fall with Mohammad Shami taking 8 wickets including a fifer, and Jasprit Bumrah took 5 wickets. Ashwin picked two in the match, Siraj picked three and Shardul Thakur scalped two wickets.

In the batting department, KL Rahul was the Player of the Match for his century in the first innings, while Mayank Agarwal made 60 and added 117 runs for the 1^st wicket with Rahul, laying down the foundation for India’s 327-run score and giving them an advantage.

This was Team India's first-ever win in Centurion. With this win, Virat Kohli became the first Indian captain to win two Test matches in SA.

Following the historic win, the members of the Indian cricket team celebrated the occasion by shaking a leg at the resort in which the staff members and some hotel staff also joined in. Ashwin shared the video on his Instagram in which he can be seen urging Cheteshwar Pujara to dance as well.
