India will play two T20Is against Ireland in June.
Vaibhav recently became the youngest player ever selected for the Indian men's team, breaking a record that had stood for 36 years. The previous record belonged to Sachin Tendulkar, who made his international debut at the age of 16 in 1989.
He had an amazing IPL 2026 for Rajasthan Royals, scoring 776 runs with a record 72 sixes to his name, one century, and five fifties, with a strike rate of 237.
Vaibhav made another outstanding effort in the India A colors just days before he joined the national team. He scored 94 runs off just 29 balls on June 21 in the tri-series final against Sri Lanka A in Dambulla.
He created a new List A world record for the fastest fifty during that innings, reaching his half-century in just 11 deliveries. Kaushalya Weeraratne of Sri Lanka set the previous record with a half-century off 12 balls.
His parents' arrival in Northern Ireland to support him has only heightened the anticipation of his possible debut. They were seen entering the Indian team's hotel in Belfast in a video that went viral on social media, sparking further conjecture that the young player was about to have a momentous occasion in his career.
