Suryakumar Yadav put on a show with the bat in the third T20I against Sri Lanka.
In the series-decider, Surya slammed 112 not out off 51 balls, propelling the hosts to a gigantic 228/5 in 20 overs.
On the other hand, Akshar did a brilliant job with both bat and ball during the series, returning with knocks of 31*, 65*, 21* and three wickets.
Lauding Suryakumar for his breathtaking century, Chahal said he was happy to be in the same side as the star batter.
"I try to bowl according to the wicket. I tried to bowl on that length, and if the batter hits it, then good for him. What Surya does in nets, you see that in the match. We try and send the best bowlers to him in the nets. I'm happy that I'm in the same team as him," the wrist-spinner told broadcasters.
Chahal further said that Akshar Patel is a perfect package and it is tough to bowl at him as well.
"Akshar has always been good. He is a perfect package. It is tough to bowl to him. He hits it clean. We spoke about the positive points in the team meeting and focused on that," he added.
India will now take on Sri Lanka in a three-match ODI series, starting January 10 in Guwahati.
