Former India captain Virat Kohli reached a huge milestone as he appeared in his 100th Test for India when they clashed against Sri Lanka in the first of the two-Test series. The match is being played in Mohali, Chandigarh, and also marked Rohit Sharma’s debut as India Test captain, making him the 35th player to lead the team in the format.

Meanwhile, India won the toss and Rohit Sharma chose to bat first on a decent Mohali track. Surprisingly India went in with three spinners and two fast bowlers, while Sri Lanka played one spinner and three front-line pacers.

Rohit Sharma fell for 29, while Mayank Agarwal made 33 as they added 52 for the opening wicket. Then Hanuma Vihari and Virat Kohli came together and added 90 runs for the third wicket. Both were looking good and Vihari completed his half-century during the partnership. Kohli completed his 8,000 runs during his knock.

It seemed like he was looking comfortable and at ease, however, he received a beauty of a ball as Lasith Embuldeniya clean bowled him for 45 runs. The ball pitched on the middle and spun enough to disturb the off-stump with Kohli reacting in a shocked manner and walking back with no happy moment in his milestone match.

However, interestingly, a Twitter user had correctly predicted that Kohli will not make a 100 in his 100th Test. Instead, he will be dismissed by Lasith Embuldeniya and Kohli will pretend to be shocked. It happened as the user had predicted and even former India captain Virender Sehwag was impressed by how precise the user was.

Here is the prediction of the user with Sehwag reacting to it:
