Indian wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan has been admitted to Fortis hospital in Kangra for precautionary scans after he received a blow on his helmet while trying to pull a short delivery by Lahiru Kumara during the 2nd T20I in Dharamsala on Saturday (February 26).

Kishan was taken to ICU for the scans, following which he was shifted to a normal room where he will rest tonight and be observed by the medical experts at the hospital. BCCI is expected to issue an update on his health and availability for Sunday's final T20I in the morning.

Following the strong blow on the second ball of Kumara's first over, which was the fourth over of the Indian innings, Kishan removed his helmet as he was attended to by medical team. Kumara checked on Kishan immediately with couple of other Sri Lankan cricketers also rushing in towards the Indian wicketkeeper-batter.

Kishan resumed his innings after a while but was clearly shaken by the blow, eventually getting dismissed for a 15-ball 16 by the same bowler.

India won the second T20I by seven wickets with Shreyas Iyer (74*) leading the chase of 184 and he was well supported by Sanju Samson (39) and Ravindra Jadeja (45*). India have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match T20I series.
