The T20I series between India and Sri Lanka will begin on February 24.
The squad is more or less the same that featured against Australia in the just-concluded five-T20I series.
Dasun Shanaka will lead the side which also includes Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Mendis, Dinesh Chandimal, Danushka Gunathilaka, Kamil Mishara, Janith Liyanage, Wanindu Hasaranga, Chamika Karunaratne, Dushmantha Chameera, Lahiru Kumara, Binura Fernando, Shiran Fernando, Maheesh Theekshana, Jeffrey Vandersay, and Praveen Jayawickrama.
While Charith Asalanka will play the role of vice-captain, Ashian Daniel’s selection is subjected to Ministerial approval.
SLC also confirmed that the trio of Avishka Fernando, Nuwan Thushara and Ramesh Mendis won’t travel to India and return home after sustaining injuries on the tour of Australia.
The T20I series between India and Sri Lanka is due to get underway on February 24 in Lucknow. The second and third T20I will be played in Dharamsala on February 26 and February 27.
