Chahal was adjudged the Player of the Match for his 3/20 in 4 overs.
Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal on Tuesday (14th June) talked about his celebration after taking wickets. He said that he’s mature now and doesn’t want to show aggression unless the batter provokes him.
Chahal was a standout performer in India’s 48-run win over South Africa in the third T20I in Visakhapatnam. After being taken for runs in the first two games, the leg-spinner made a staggering comeback and took three wickets, that help his side bundle out the opposition for 131 runs.
He removed the likes of Rassie van der Dussen, Dwaine Pretorious and Heinrich Klaasen to return with the figures of 3/20. However, despite making a strong comeback, Chahal didn’t celebrate animatedly. His celebrations were quite mute as he just raised his finger and had a big smile on his face.

Speaking to Ruturaj Gaikwad on Chahal TV, Yuzvendra Chahal said that since he’s mature now he doesn’t show any aggression unless any batter provokes him. He talked about his celebration after taking a wicket and said that he doesn’t want to show any aggression without reason.
"Ab toh thodi umar ho gayi toh jab tak koi batsman ungli nahi karta toh wo agrression nahi nikalta. (I'm more mature now so don't show my aggression unless a batter provokes me). It's just a normal celebration for a wicket. There are friends who are batting at the other end, and don't want to show aggression for no reason,” Chahal said.
If it was Chahal who shined with the ball, Gaikwad stole the limelight with the bat. He was India’s top run-getter with 57 runs and helped his side post a total of 179 runs on the board.
Talking about his innings, Gaikwad said that he kept a positive mindset for the first few overs and his main aim was not to lose wicket in the first three overs.
"Kept a positive mindset for the first few overs. The wicket was a bit sticky to begin with so the first aim was not to lose a wicket in the first three overs and then we went for our big shots in the 4th and 5th overs," Gaikwad said.
