The spin bowlers from India and New Zealand lined up to get an interesting picture together during the recent-concluded Test series.

Akshar Patel, Ravindra Jadeja were joined by Ajaz Patel and Rachin Ravindra after the second Test match in Mumbai.

A picture was clicked with the backs of the players facing the camera so their jersey names could form “Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja”.

Almost a week later, Ajaz has now opened up on the origin of that photo.

"That photo speaks a lot about the sporting world and you know, what sport can do. Sport has the ability to bring people together and not only here but around the world. It was special to be able to take a photo like that. Obviously, there is a fierce rivalry on the field but off the field, it's a gentleman sport and everyone adds value to each other's games,” Ajaz said in a video posted on BlackCaps’ Twitter handle.

"It was awesome to connect with some of those guys who play locally in India and know the conditions really well. So, the conversation with them is quite special. The beauty of that photo came about through a few wise guys; our media guys back home and here and also myself and a few of the Indian guys. A lot of us thought on the same page and thought it would be a pretty cool photo," he explained.

It was a memorable match for Ajaz Patel, who became only the third bowler in cricket history to claim all 10 wickets in a Test innings. He achieved the rare feat by dismissing Mohammed Siraj and returned with the figures of 10/119 in India’s first innings.
