New Zealand captain Kane Williamson has lauded the Indian cricket team and said that playing against them is "one of the biggest challenges" in the game. This comes ahead of the two-Test series between India and New Zealand which begins on November 25 in Kanpur.

Both the sides will first meet in a 3-match T20I series from November 17 and then will play two Tests with the second match scheduled in Mumbai from December 3rd.

"When you play against India, it is one of the biggest challenges in the game and in all formats, the depth they have in their country and the quality they have throughout is something that is incredible and it is the reason where they are in world cricket," said Williamson in a video posted on Black Caps Twitter handle.

Kane Williamson has decided to opt-out of the T20I series to get some rest and be refreshed for the Test series. In his place, Tim Southee will lead the BlackCaps in the white-ball tourney, while Williamson will return for the Test matches.

Apart from Williamson, all-rounder, Kyle Jamieson has decided to rest from the T20I series, while Daryl Mitchell, Glenn Phillips, and Mitchell Santner are available for both series.
