Bumrah made his return to India XI after recovering from his back injury.
The umpires, after repeated inspections, confirmed an 8-over-per-side game. Rohit Sharma won the toss and chose to field first. India made two changes with Rishabh Pant coming for Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah coming in for Umesh Yadav.
Australia also made some changes with Sean Abbott and Daniel Sams coming into the side.
The Indian team managed to outfox the big hitters with Cameron Green getting run out for 5, and then Akshar Patel removed Glenn Maxwell for a first-ball duck and then Tim David for 2 runs, to finish with 2/13 in 2 overs.
Aaron Finch, however, hammered the Indian bowling for 31 runs in 15 balls with 4 fours and 1 six and it took a sensational toe-crushing yorker from Jasprit Bumrah, who is making his return to the XI after an extended break due to a back injury, to get rid of the Kangaroos’ captain.
The delivery was so good that even Finch lauded Bumrah while walking back to the pavilion.

In the end, Matthew Wade’s 19-ball 43* with 3 sixes and 4 fours took Australia to 90/5 in 8 overs.
