The incident happened during the Marsh Cup match between Queensland and New South Wales.
Cricket can be dangerous and cause nasty injuries if one is not alert. While batsman has the necessary protective gear, bowlers and fielders don't wear anything.
In a game of Australia's domestic one-day competition, Marsh Cup, New South Wales fast bowler Mickey Edwards saved himself from what could have been a serious injury. After finishing his delivery, Edwards almost got hit on his face after the Queensland batsman Samuel Heazlett smashed the ball right back at him. The bowler did well to get his hands in between.
Replays showed it was a narrow escape for the bowler. He only got a minor pain in his hand after it deflected the ball away. Cricket.com.au tweeted the video saying, "Thankfully, Mickey Edwards is OK after this scary moment at AB Field."
