However, there is a way in which Global T20 Canada has managed to stand out from the rest of the mushrooming T20 leagues in the world and that is by providing players from associate nations a platform to showcase their skills, apart from encouraging local Canadian talent as well.

The Global T20 Canada league has the vision to grow cricket as a whole and it includes the players from associate nations as well. Many of the big T20 leagues which have millions of viewers across the globe, lack representation from associate nations.

One of the biggest names in associate cricketer to make a name for himself in the biggest T20 league in the cricketing world was the Netherlands' Ryan Ten Doeschate, who had a remarkable career for the Kolkata Knight Riders franchise in the IPL.

To ensure that players from associate nations get valuable representation in the Global T20 Canada League tournament, the management has mandated that each franchise must have atleast 4 associate nation players in their squad.

This has to be done in a squad of 16 players, which needs to have atleast 6 Canadian players in the squad as well, apart from 6 international stars.

Not only this, to ensure the associate nation players get a proper chance to showcase their skills in the middle as well, the franchisees need to have atleast 3 associate players in the playing XI as well. This in addition to 5 full-member players and 3 Canadian cricket stars.

There is an impressive list of players from associate nations to have played in the previous two seasons of the Global T20 Canada tournament.

TKR star Ali Khan says that he didn't consider cricket to be a career option at one point of time

Stars like Sandeep Lamichhane, Chirag Suri, Calum Macleod, Matthew Cross, Richard Berrington, Anshuman Rath, Michael Rippon, and many more have found a platform to rub shoulders with the international T20 stars and showcase their potential thanks to the opportunity provided by the Global T20 Canada tournament.

Add to this the local flavor of players like Ali Khan, Satsimranjit Dhindsa, Akash Gill, and Ruvindu Gunasekera apart from others, and you have a T20 league brimming with untapped talent with a platform where they can play their cricket in front of millions of cricket fans from all over the globe.

Not many T20 leagues can boast of such an array of talented local and associate nation players showcasing their skills and going toe to toe with international T20 stars, but the Global T20 Canada tournament can claim of possessing such talent and providing them with such a brilliant stage as well.

All your favorite international T20 stars, and talented Canadian T20 players, and skilled associate nation players will be in action in the third season of the Global T20 Canada.
