Match 26, Barbados Tridents v Guyana Amazon Warriors – Fantasy Cricket Tips, Playing XIs, Weather and Pitch

Fantasy tips for the 26th Match of CPL 2020.

By Shubham - 03 Sep, 2020

Guyana Amazon Warriors will be playing their last league game when they take on Barbados Tridents at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad. The Amazon Warriors have won their last three games and qualified for the semis with 10 points from 9 games. Things look difficult for the Tridents as they have only 4 points from their 8 games.

Barbados Tridents lost some of the games which they should have won easily and now they find themselves in a difficult position. Tridents need to win every game from here if they want to stand a chance to qualify. Amazon Warriors have some young explosive batsmen who are in form and the Tridents have some great spinners so it will be a contest to watch out for.

Team News

Barbados Tridents

Barbados Tridents have lost games which they shouldn’t have lost even in their dreams. Against the Zouks they failed to chase down a total of 93 and in the next game against the Amazon Warriors, they were bowled out for 92.

Their batsmen are not supporting the bowlers which are the main reason for their failure. The likes of Rashid Khan, Hayden Walsh, and even Jason Holder have delivered with the ball. Shai Hope has been a major disappointment in the batting department.

They need to win their last two games and wait for some other results to go their way if they want to qualify for the semis. At the moment, qualifying looks very difficult for the Tridents.

Guyana Amazon Warriors

Guyana Amazon Warriors have won three in a row which has ensured that they will play the semis this year. Their young batsmen – Nicholas Pooran and Shimron Hetmyer are getting back in form at the right time.

Most of the bowlers are doing a good job including the young pacer from Afghanistan – Naveen-ul-Haq. Ross Taylor hasn’t done anything significant with the bat but his experience might come in handy during the knockout stages.

The Amazon Warriors are playing their last league game and would love to finish on a high before the semis start.
