Rishabh Pan hammered his maiden ODI hundred in the third ODI against England.
Young wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant smashed his maiden ODI century to help India beat England by 5 wickets in the third and final ODI in Manchester on July 17th to clinch the series by a margin of 2-1.
Pant, batting at number four, played an excellent inning of 125* off 113 balls with the help of 16 fours and 2 sixes, as well as shared a 133-run partnership with Hardik Pandya (71) for the fifth wicket to help Team India successfully chase down 260 runs against England in the final ODI on Sunday.
Once India crossed the line, England’s Jonny Bairstow was one of the first English players who congratulated the left-hander for his match-winning knock.
However, Bairstow went a step ahead, and he went on to give Pant a big hug, having been impressed by his talent and exploits in Manchester.
The moment when Pant got a bear hug from Bairstow went viral on social media, as fans hadn’t yet got over the heartwarming gesture by the England keeper. They shared the screenshot on Twitter.
