Kohli scored 33 runs in the warmup game against Leicestershire.
Team India is currently facing Leicestershire in a four-day warm-up ahead of their rescheduled fifth Test against England in Edgbaston, starting July 1st.
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bat. But it wasn’t a fruitful start for them in the start as they lost wickets in clusters. The visitors had a decent opening partnership as Sharma (25) and Shubman Gill (21) stitched 35 runs together.
But after that, they lost wickets in quick succession and were reduced to 81/5. Virat Kohli showed some resilience and batted with great concentration for his 33-run knock before he was trapped lbw by Roman Walker.
