The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced the 16-man England squad for the upcoming fifth Test match against India to be played at the Old Trafford in Manchester from September 10.

England trails 1-2 in the five-match series after they lost the fourth Test match to India at the Oval by 157 runs and had earlier lost at Lord’s by 151 runs in the second Test. The first Test match was drawn and England won the third Test at Leeds by an innings and 76 runs.

England had to make some forced changes to their playing XI in Oval as Jos Buttler had opted out due to the birth of his second child and Mark Wood missed the match due to his shoulder injury.
