Team India skipper Virat Kohli believes in wearing his heart on his sleeve and expressing whatever he feels. Even during India’s win in the fourth Test at The Oval, Kohli allegedly tried to troll England’s Barmy Army with his act which left Twitterverse divided.

After seeing the Indian skipper celebrate England’s wicket by targeting the English fans, a number of journalists and pundits expressed their displeasure through tweets and labeled his act ‘classless’ as India registered a 157-run win at The Oval.

England’s Daily Mail cricket journalist Lawrence Booth was one of them as he wrote, “Love this. His teammates are celebrating a wicket, but Kohli finds the time to taunt the England fans. Doesn’t miss a trick!,” on Twitter in sarcasm.

Booth then went on to explain his actual feelings in the next tweet as he wrote, “To clear up any confusion, I don’t really love this. I find it weird when a top-class sportsman isn’t content with winning a game, having totally outplayed the opposition, but wants to stick it to the fans too.

The former England batsman Nick Compton who has been criticizing the Delhi-based cricketer since the beginning of this Test series between India and England, also commented on this tweet saying, “It doesn’t look good for him! No need.

Even England’s Barmy Army after seeing this act took a jibe at the right-hand batsman by tweeting a photo of him gesturing a trumpet and wrote, “Yes we know you want to be in the army Virat. We get the hint.

But, the skipper Kohli received a lot of support from Indian fans who thought this act was justified as English fans had trolled the tourists after an innings and 76-run defeat in the third Test at Headingley in Leeds.
