Even though India registered an epic win over England at Lord’s, Indian fans will be looking forward to seeing skipper Virat Kohli get some big runs as the three-figure mark has eluded him for quite some time now.

Former Australia spinner Brad Hogg in his latest YouTube video addressed Kohli’s poor form and praised the right-hand batsman for displaying honesty and not backing away as him being vulnerable as a leader and believes it helps youngsters to follow in his footsteps.

Leaders have to show their vulnerability as well, and Virat Kohli has been doing that with his little lack of form or the tough run he's had as of late. He's not shying back from it. He's getting out there and he realizes that he is in it and he's working on it, Hogg said in a YouTube video.

And what that does, it creates that environment where the youngsters see it from their leaders and they feel comfortable to go in there and follow their leader,” he added.

The left-arm Chinaman then hailed the overall system of the Indian team, which is built on discipline, training and planning.

The 50-year-old former Australia spinner feels India have created a platform for consistency.

He's creating an environment of excellence, where there is a lot of discipline, there's a clean environment there, and when you're on the training track there is no wasted time - every second is valuable time to hone your skills and make sure you're right for the game. Virat Kohli doesn't expect players to do what he won't or can't do,” the Aussie spinner signed off.

After winning their second consecutive Test series in Australia, Team India registered a historic win at the Home of Cricket, Lord’s to go 1-0 up in this five-match Test series against England with the third Test scheduled to be played at Headingley in Leeds from 25 August.
