A man in Indian jersey had entered the pitch during Lord's Test against England and claimed he’s part of the team.
England's Daniel Jarvis, who got famous after a pitch invasion during the Lord's Test, has opened up about the incident. Jarvis, now popularly known as 'Jarvo', had entered the field wearing an Indian jersey.
Jarvis is a prankster, and he was pretending to be one of the Indian cricketers before security escorted him out of the ground. Not only commentators and fans, but even Indian cricketers were also in splits during the incident.
In a conversation with Indian Sports Fans, Jarvis said he was a Virat Kohli fan but has now turned into a Mohammed Siraj fanatic after the latter's match-winning performance at Lord's. Currently working in Dubai, he is the mind behind the popular “Bad Grandpa” character.
When Jarvis walked into the ground and mixed up with Indian players, Ravindra Jadeja was seen walking up to him with a smile. Jarvis revealed Jadeja asked him which end would he prefer to bowl from and Siraj couldn't control his laughter. “Which end will he prefer to bowl from," Jadeja joked.
Jarvis was trying to convince the match officials and security that he's there to bowl for India and even pointed at the BCCI logo. “As an Indian Test cricketer, I am here to bowl. Ask them,'' Jarvo told.
The video of the incident went viral on social media and he also posted a clip on his Twitter account while walking into the ground before joining the Indian players.
