Team India were at their best as they recently registered a historic win over England by 151 runs at the Home of Cricket, Lord’s and received a lot of praise from all over the world for their fighting spirit shown in London.

Former Pakistan captain, Inzamam-ul-Haq is one of them as he lauded the approach of Virat Kohli and Co. who looked down and out at Stumps on Day 4 as the scoreboard read 181/6 with last recognized batsman Rishabh Pant at the crease.

India registered a terrific win. Such victories are rarely seen. Ever since the youngsters have become a part of the team and the passion with which they are playing, India have started winning games overseas, Inzamam said in his latest YouTube video.

A team that starts winning games outside the country, then it’s a pretty strong side. Winning in home conditions is a common thing. But defeating an opposition in their country is a sign of a great cricket team,” he added.

The former right-hand batsman was overwhelmed by the way Indian tail-enders batted on the final day of this Lord’s Test match and lauded them for the fight they showed.

If you want to assess the strength of any team, you’ll get to know about the strength of the team when their tail bats. So, when Shami scored his 50, the batsmen above him were dismissed, but he fought and this partnership was crucial to break England down,” the 51-year-old said.

India also had a great chance of winning the Nottingham Test match but rain played spoilsport on Day 5 when visitors needed just 157 runs to win forcing the match to end in a draw. According to the former Pakistan batsman, the Lord’s win was a reward for missed win at Trent Bridge.

Bowlers were bowling well in the first Test match, and even here they did not miss any opportunity. I think, the opportunity that India missed out on in the first Test, this fantastic Test win is a reward for that. You win Test matches and you lose some, But, the most impressive thing for me is that the approach and the aggression, which matters the most,” Inzamam concluded.
