First Test at Trent Bridge ended in a draw with rain washing away the final day.
With the second Test at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground just two days away, both teams England and India had their practice sessions at the ground on Tuesday (August 10).
For the hosts, there was a major injury concern as veteran fast bowler Stuart Broad, who was eyeing his 150th Test at Lord's, tweaked his calf after slipping while taking a light warm-up jog. The fast bowler could not put any weight on his right foot after the incident as per The Guardian report. Broad will undergo a scan on Wednesday to determine the extent of the injury.
Moeen Ali recalled to England squad for the second Test at Lord's
If the scan reveals serious damage to the calf or the achilles tendon, he could be in danger of being ruled out for rest of the five-match series with the Tests scheduled one after another in a short space of time.
England have Mark Wood and Craig Overton available in the squad to take Broad's place, or they could replace him with one of the spinners Jack Leach, Dom Bess, or Moeen Ali who was added to the squad on Wednesday morning.

The visitors have their own injury issue with Shardul Thakur carrying a hamstring problem that could see off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin being recalled to the playing XI as the weather is expected to be hot during the second Test starting on Thursday.
Ishant Sharma was back at the nets at Lord's and he could also be considered after he missed the first Test due to a niggle. Opener Mayank Agarwal has recovered from his concussion after suffering a blow on the helmet by Mohammed Siraj.
