Rain and bad light had interrupted play on Day 2 at Trent Bridge.
The wicket-keeper batsman who had provided fans with weather updates throughout the World Test Championship final (WTC) against New Zealand continued doing so ‘on public demand’ as he wrote, “As per public demand, weatherman DK is back on duty.”
Karthik took to Twitter and shared a photo which consisted of the weather forecast for the day in Nottingham along with a couple of photos of the stadium where the pitch was covered and the other photo showed overcast conditions.

After a washed out third session on Day 2, fans were concerned about how the conditions would be on Day 3 but according to the Tamil Nadu based batsman even though it is cloudy, Karthik reckons the play will begin on time on Friday (6 August).

India had a great Day 1 in the first Test against England as they bowled them out for 183 and ended the day with 21/0.
But, after Rohit Sharma’s dismissal just before Lunch on Day 2, there were two consecutive wickets off James Anderson that too of Pujara (4) and Kohli (0) followed by Ajinkya Rahane’s runout dismissal which saw India in a bit of trouble as the scoreboard reads 125/4.
Thus, it will be exciting to see how the Indian batters especially KL Rahul (57) goes about on Day 3 with Rishabh Pant (7) at the other end.
