With three days left for the title clash, a report published in CricketNext claims that plenty of dignitaries will grace the occasion.
According to the report, India’s honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to be the chief guest in the final. India’s World Cup-winning captains MS Dhoni and Kapil Dev will also be in attendance.
The Narendra Modi Stadium, with a seating capacity of 132,000 spectators, is likely to be jam-packed for the final and a lot of entertainment has been planned for the capacity crowd, including a special air show.
Renowned singers like Dupa Lipa, Pritam Chakraborty and Aditya Gadhavi will reportedly perform before the start of the final match.
As per the report, the family members of all Indian cricketers will be cheering from the stands and Hardik Pandya, who watched the semi-final in Mumbai, will attend the final in Ahmedabad as well.
Batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar, who has attended quite a few India games this World Cup, will also witness the final from the stands.
Besides the prominent politicians, entire BCCI and ICC top brass will be in attendance and various representatives of state associations will be in Ahmedabad too.
Notably, India defeated New Zealand in the first semi-final by 70 runs at the Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday (November 15). The Men in Blue are yet to lose a match in this World Cup as they are deemed favourites to lift the coveted trophy.
