Mohammad Rizwan’s dismissal became the talk of the town in Pakistan’s last league match of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 against England at the iconic Eden Gardens, Kolkata on Saturday (November 11).

During the 23rd over of Pakistan’s chase, Rizwan came down the track prematurely while facing Moeen Ali, who dragged his length back a bit. As a result, the Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter missed the line of the delivery completely and the ball crashed into the stumps.

It turned out to be an embarrassing dismissal for Rizwan, who ended up being on the floor with cramps perhaps. Interestingly, he was ignored by the England players and no one helped him get back on his feet.

Here’s how the fans reacted to Rizwan’s dismissal:

Earlier in the tournament, Mohammad Rizwan hit a match-winning century against Sri Lanka while struggling with cramps. However, he admitted in the post-match interview that he was making up the cramps to get some extra rest.

“Sometimes its cramps, sometimes its acting,” Rizwan had said after the Pakistan-Sri Lanka match in Hyderabad on October 10.
