Pakistan to clash with Afghanistan in Chennai on Monday, October 22.
The Men in Green came into the CWC 2023 with a lot of hype, but their performance is yet to live up to that expectation. After winning their first two matches against the Netherlands and Sri Lanka, Pakistan was steamrolled by India in Ahmedabad and then Australia decimated them in Bengaluru.
Shaheen Afridi’s fifer was a bright spot in that match against Australia in which the Kangaroos posted 399 runs.
During a Samaa TV show, Shahid Afridi was present via video conferencing and he was joined by his youngest daughter Arwa as well. During the telecast, his daughter asked him a very innocent question and Shahid very sportingly gave a hilarious answer.
His daughter first asked Afridi, whether Shaheen Afridi, who is married to the eldest daughter of the former Pakistan captain, was in the Men in Green team. Shahid Afridi replied positive that yes Shaheen Afridi was in the Pakistan team.
Here is how the conversation went:
Arwa asked, "Papa, is Shaheen Afridi also in Pakistan team?"
Shahid Afridi replied," Yes, Shaheen Afridi is also in the Pakistan team".
A puzzled Arwa then asked, "Kyun hai (why is that)?"
Afridi replied to her by saying, "We will ask this only when he does not perform well".
