Pakistan’s star pacer Shaheen Afridi has been struggling to deliver his best in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, and the legendary pacer Wasim Akram came forward to help pace sensation.

Afridi used to be a very intimidating bowler, especially with the new ball, and he would cause a lot of trouble for the rival teams in the early stages of the matches. However, in the ongoing Cricket World Cup 2023, Afridi has not been as fierce as he used to be.

The Pakistan pacer hasn't been as effective, and what's worrying is that he's not bowling as fast as he used to. He took only four wickets in three matches so far in the 2023 World Cup, which became a cause for concern for the Pakistan team management.

Meanwhile, Wasim Akram shared advice for Afridi to help him return to his best in the tournament. He suggested Afridi follow his routine and keep practicing, as he feels a couple of good spells will help him get back into form.

Wasim Akram said on 'The Pavilion', a show on Pakistan's A Sports: “He has been bowling well. During the World Cup, what special he can do? Obviously, his confidence is low. But he's a wicket-taking bowler, if you are not getting wickets, just be normal.

Don't do anything out of ordinary, follow your routine and keep practicing. Just one or two good spells is all he need to be back in form.”

Notably, Pakistan will be next seen in action against Australia on October 19 in Bengaluru.
