The Pakistan cricket team is under scrutiny as former players like Shoaib Akhtar, Wasim Akram, Salman Butt and others slammed Babar Azam following their embarrassing defeat to arch-rivals India in their ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 match held in Ahmedabad on October 14.

Pakistan’s lackluster performance in all three departments and their inability to handle the pressure in front of more than one lakh passionate Indian fans at the Narendra Modi Stadium have raised eyebrows among cricketing legends.

Meanwhile, legendary fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar did not mince words when he criticized the Men in Green for their poor performance against India.

Akhtar questioned the Pakistan team's lack of intensity and determination on the field, which led to their horrible surrender against India at the jam-packed Narendra Modi Stadium.

Slamming Pakistan’s show, Akhtar wrote on X: “Sawa lakh banda akele chup kerwanay k liye fire chahiye hota hai. Yeh sirf tab ho sakta hai jab aap k andar wo aag ho.”

The post caught the attention of the former Pakistan leg spinner Danish Kaneria, and he urged Akhtar to reignite Babar Azam and his team’s passion and spirit, which are completely missing.

Kaneria replied to Akhtar: “Aag thandi ho chuki hai. Wapas jalao Shoaib bhai :),.”

Pakistan will next face Australia at CWC 2023 on October 20 in Bengaluru.
