CWC 2023: WATCH- “I love you Virat”- Arijit Singh shouts mid-performance; does Ganguly celebration after Babar’s wicket

Arijit also asked Anushka Sharma for a photo while enjoying the match in the stands.

Bollywood singer Arijit Singh had set the stage on fire at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad ahead of the India v Pakistan clash in the ICC World Cup 2023 tournament on October 14. He along with Shankar Mahadevan, Sunidhi Chauhan, and Sukhwinder Singh were part of the musical event organized by BCCI.

The Indian team was practicing as Arijit Singh was in his performance and once he saw former India captain Virat Kohli pass by, Arijit couldn’t help himself and shouted “I Love You Virat”, mid-song. Virat Kohli acknowledged Arijit Singh and waved at him.

Earlier he had touched the steps with his hands for respect before going for his performance and cheered for India. He also thanked the people present there for their love and gratitude.

In the stands, Arijit Singh enjoyed every moment of the India v Pakistan match and was seen cheering for the team.

CWC 2023: WATCH- "Today was not the day to do this”- Wasim Akram slams Babar Azam for asking Virat Kohli for shirts

His best moment came when Babar Azam was bowled by Mohammed Siraj and Arijit was seen doing the Sourav Ganguly celebration by twirling a shirt above his head in ecstasy.

Apart from this, Arijit Singh also had a fanboy moment himself as he requested Anushka Sharma for a photo. Anushka was sitting with Ritika Sajdeh and cheering for India when Arijit asked her for a photo and she obliged by posing for one.

India defeated Pakistan by 7 wickets in the crunch match. Pakistan had posted 191 after being asked to bat first with Babar Azam scoring 50 and Jasprit Bumrah taking 2/19. In response, Rohit Sharma’s 86 and Shreyas Iyer’s 53* were enough for India to achieve the target with 117 balls to spare and 7 wickets in hand.
