Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq are currently facing each other in the 9th match of the CWC 2023.
The Virat Kohli vs Naveen-ul-Haq face-off has become the hottest topic in town as they are currently facing each other in the 9th match of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.
This face-off marks their first on-field battle since their infamous spat in the IPL in 2023. During an IPL 2023 match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Kohli and Naveen had an intense exchange, which is now one of the infamous on-field scuffles.
Meanwhile, hours before the start of the IND vs. AFG match at CWC 2023 in Delhi on Wednesday, October 11, Naveen's IPL franchise, LSG, decided to stir the pot with a clever "mango tweet" on X.
This tweet instantly took the fans back to the times when Naveen posted pictures of mangoes on Instagram whenever RCB lost matches in the IPL 2023 following their spat.
It led LSG to mute terms like "mango," "mangoes," "sweet," and "aam" on their social media, but the IPL franchise has decided to reopen a side of mango-flavored drama ahead of the CWC 2023 match between India and Afghanistan at Arun Jaitley Stadium.
They posted, "Aam kab nahi khana chahiye (when not to eat mango)."
Meanwhile, Afghanistan skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi was asked about the Kohli vs Naveen battle on the eve of the match against India and he said: “See, as you mentioned before also, like India is our home, it was our home, we played here and the people of India give a lot of love to Afghanistan people.”
Shahidi added, “And what happened in the ground, that aggression comes to every player, it's not about India and Afghanistan. So, it can come to everyone. So, this happened and still like if you see a lot of our players, we have idols from Indian team like Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid.”
