India will play Australia in Chennai on October 8.
Virat Kohli, who had to fly home to Mumbai from Guwahati for some personal emergency, rejoined the squad when they traveled to Chennai. He was seen sweating it out in Chepauk Stadium ahead of the Australia match.
Kohli enjoys a huge fan following everywhere he goes and this time he made a fan’s day by meeting him and clicking a photo as well. This special fan is Srinivas who hails from Chennai itself and is wheelchair bound. He created a special portrait of Kohli and presented the same to the cricketer.
“I’m Srinivas, I’m here I’m from Chennai I’m studying Graphic designing I came here to buy tickets but eventually I met Virat Kohli and he signed on this. Yeah, I drew it myself, it took me 40+ hours to draw this I was super anxious, he came straight into me,” revealed the delighted fan in a video shared by BCCI.
“I felt like am I dreaming? I was like, he came towards me and asked do you want me to sign the portrait? I was like yes sir sure and I asked him for a picture and he said sure sure come let’s take a picture. I became his fan just for his cover drive, and that cover drive made me draw this. I wish all the 15 players good luck,” Srinivas said after meeting Kohli.
BCCI shared the video with the caption: “It took me 40+ hours to make this for Virat Kohli.’ Meet Srinivas – Virat Kohli’s very special fan who had a day to remember in Chennai.”
