Pakistan and Australia are clashing in their second and final warm-up match ahead of the ICC World Cup 2023. The two teams are clashing in Hyderabad on October 3, 2023.

Australia chose to bat first after winning the toss. For Pakistan, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan sat out of this encounter while Shaheen Shah Afridi returned to have some game time.

David Warner (48) and Mitchell Marsh (31) gave a good start to Australia, adding 83 runs for the first wicket. But in the 23rd over, something hilarious happened on the field thanks to a failed fielding effort by Mohammad Nawaz and Mohammad Wasim Jr.

Haris Rauf bowled a short-of-a-length delivery on off stump. Marnus Labuschagne tried to tuck it away towards deep backward square leg. It didn’t seem that the ball would go towards the boundary but a bizarre effort saw Pakistan conceding a boundary.

As the ball was near the boundary rope, Mohammad Wasim Jr. and Mohammad Nawaz ran into each other and made a mess of it. The ball went past Nawaz who collided with Wasim and while they recovered, the ball trickled to the boundary padding.

Here’s the clip:

India opener Shikhar Dhawan was also amused by this fielding lapse by Pakistani players Mohammad Nawaz and Mohammad Wasim Jr. He couldn’t keep himself to take a funny jibe at this gaffe.

He posted: “Pakistan & fielding never ending love story #PakistanFielding #PakCricket
