Australia on Friday (September 22) unveiled their new jersey for the highly-anticipated ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023, slated to get underway on October 5 in India.

The kit showcases a striking design that includes First Nations artwork crafted by Aunty Fiona Clarke, prominently displayed on the side of the jersey.

Taking to social media platform X, Cricket Australia’s official handle shared pictures of the new jersey with the caption: “Here it is! Our 2023 Men’s World Cup kit ready for action in India.”

With less than two weeks remaining for the quadrennial event, Australia are set to play India in a three-match ODI series, starting September 22 in Mohali. The series will be the final rehearsal before the ODI World Cup.

It is pertinent to mention here that Australia suffered a 3-2 defeat in the recently concluded five-match ODI series against South Africa. However, the series held in the rainbow nation didn’t feature Australia’s leading players such as Pat Cummins, Steve Smith and Mitchell Starc.

Australia will open their World Cup campaign against host India in Chennai on October 8.
