India will open their World Cup campaign against Australia in Chennai on October 8.
In a gesture of celebration for the World Cup 2023 being hosted in India, Adidas revamped the ODI jersey, replacing the three white stripes on the shoulders with the vibrant tricolour.
The BCCI logo now proudly bears two stars, symbolizing India’s historic ODI World Cup triumphs in 1983 and 2011.
Adidas has named their World Cup campaign as ‘3 Ka Dream’. The official kit sponsor called the campaign a “testament to the country’s unwavering support for team India.”
With nearly two weeks remaining for the start of the World Cup, Adidas shared a video on Instagram in which India’s star players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Shubman Gill can be seen donning the new jersey.
“1983 - the spark. 2011 - the glory. 2023 - the dream. Impossible nahi yeh sapna, #3kaDream hai apna,” Adidas captioned the video.
