Virat Kohli was one of the five players rested by India for Bangladesh Super 4s stage game.
Indian team faced off against Bangladesh in their final Super 4s match of the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 on September 15 in Colombo and the Men in Blue side rested 5 players ahead of the final.
Bangladesh already crashed out of the race for the final after losing their first two matches in Super 4s to Pakistan and Sri Lanka, while India will clash with Sri Lanka in the final of Asia Cup 2023 on Sunday, September 17.
Meanwhile, Indian team management rested Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj and Kuldeep Yadav. In their place, Suryakumar Yadav, Shardul Thakur, Prasidh Krishna, and Mohammad Shami came in, while Tilak Varma made his ODI debut.
Kohli, who couldn’t do much against Sri Lanka in the last match, was seen wearing the 12th man kit and carrying the drinks for his teammate during the break along with Mohammed Siraj and decided to have some fun as he funnily ran onto the field.
