Kuldeep Yadav ran through the Pakistani batting line-up in the Asia Cup Super-4 clash.
After Indian batters piled up a mammoth 356/2 on the board, Kuldeep returned with the figures of 5 for 25 in his eight overs. The wrist-spinner dismissed Fakhar Zaman, Agha Salman, Iftikhar Ahmed, Shadab Khan and Faheem Ashraf en route to his second five-wicket haul in ODI cricket.
Thanks to his brilliance with the ball, India bundled out Pakistan for a paltry 128 in just 32 overs.
After the game, Kuldeep Yadav said he was enjoying his bowling and expressed his delight over the performance.
"100%, I mean I am very happy with my performance. From the last year and past, I have worked really hard and bowling really well. I feel that I am in a good rhythm as well. Just kept bowling good lengths and got my wickets," Kuldeep told broadcasters after the game.
Talking about his plan against Pakistan batters, Yadav said: "I was not looking to get the fifth wicket after gotten to 4th wicket. Just happened. I know most of the guys, how they play spin and accordingly worked on my variations. 100%, I am working on my length, I just kept bowling wicket-to-wicket and increase my chances if they slog sweep, sweep and reverse sweep."
It was a listless batting performance from the Men in Green as no one managed to touch the 30-run mark. Fakhar Zaman top scored with 27.
Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya and Shardul Thakur claimed one scalp each as India climbed to the top of the Super-4 points table with this emphatic victory.
