Virat Kohli is a bonafide legend of modern-day cricket and fans from all over the world admire and love him. The same was the case when one Pakistani female cricket fan showcased her admiration for the former India captain.

Her words came after the India vs. Pakistan game in Asia Cup 2023 on Saturday in Kandy, Sri Lanka. While India batted first after Rohit Sharma won the toss, and posted 266 runs on the board thanks to brilliant knocks by Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya; Pakistan’s turn to bat didn’t come as rains resulted in the match being called off.

All eyes were on Kohli as the batter was coming off a bit of a rest as he was not named in the T20I squad on the West Indies tour.

He looked in good touch when he came out to bat and hit a lovely drive against Naseem Shah to open his account. However, the next over itself, Shaheen Afridi had Kohli chopping the ball onto his stumps and the veteran walked back for 4 runs.

Amid all that, a video of a Pakistani woman praising Virat Kohli has gone viral online. The clip featured the woman expressing her admiration for Kohli. The unnamed woman said that Kohli was her favorite player and claimed that she was quite heartbroken after he got out quickly during the match. She was expecting him to make a century.

The fan had the Indian flag painted on one side of her face and the Pakistani flag on the other. A middle-aged man even criticized her for praising Kohli to which she replied: “Chacha, padosiyon se pyaar karna koi buri baat to nahi hai (Uncle, it is not a bad thing to love your neighbors).”

The woman when asked to choose between Kohli and Babar Azam chose the former saying Virat Kohli was her favorite player.
