Former Pakistan cricketer Danish Kaneria suggested that the Indian team should include leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi in their playing XI to strengthen their bowling attack in their upcoming Asia Cup 2022 clash against Hong Kong on August 31.

He further pointed out that Team India already has three pacers in Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh, and Hardik Pandya in their bowling attack, so they should add one more specialist spinner in their attack as the UAE conditions have been favoring spinners.

Danish Kaneria said in a video on his official Youtube channel: “I feel getting Ravi Bishnoi in will make a major difference. He could be a real trump card for India. The conditions in the UAE are also going to help him. They already have three pacers in Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh, and Hardik Pandya. They can get one more spinner and that would further strengthen their bowling.”

He is also not expecting many changes in India’s playing XI for the upcoming match in the Asia Cup 2022 but feels they can give the opportunity to in-form Deepak Hooda against Hong Kong.

Kaneria signed off by saying, “India will not want to make many changes to their playing XI as they know that they will have to play with the same lineup throughout the tournament. But they have someone like Deepak Hooda in their squad who is a future superstar. He is an exceptional player who knows how to score runs. He has been doing well consistently.”
