The match between India and Pakistan went down the wire and it saw the Rohit Sharma-led side clinching the nail-biter by 5 wickets to begin their Asia Cup 2022 campaign on a high.

Apart from Hardik Pandya, the main reason behind India’s win was all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. The southpaw played a sensational knock of 35 runs and bailed India out of trouble from the pressure situation.

Promoted up the order, Jadeja held the one end and slowly ticked the scorecard and also took calculated risks. He stitched a match-winning 52-run partnership with Hardik Pandya (33*) to help his side defeat the arch-rivals.

After the match, Jadeja was called for the post-match interview and it was none other the Sanjay Manjrekar who asked him questions. Notably, the duo was engaged in a social media feud as the commenter had called the all-rounder "bits-and-pieces" cricketer back in 2019.

In what was a hilarious incident, Manjrekar’s first question to Jadeja was if he was okay to talk to him. The incident made both laugh and the all-rounder then talked about the match. Their conversation went like this:

Manjrekar: "First question - You are ok to talk to me? Right, Jaddu?"

Jadeja: "Yeah, yeah (laughs). Absolutely!!"

Jadeja added that they planned to bat till the end and he was trying to finish the game because he had an edge over left-arm spinner, Mohammad Nawaz. He also lauded Hardik for his heroics.

"Thank you very much. We wanted to play till the end, they have a very good bowling attack, their fast bowlers don’t give anything away. I could have finished the game - left-arm spinner against left-hander, but Hardik played superbly. He (Pandya) came out and said he was going to play his shots, and happy that he stayed till the end," Ravindra Jadeja said.
