Virat Kohli will return to action in Asia Cup after a short break.
India’s Asia Cup opener against arch-rivals Pakistan will mark Kohli’s return to cricket after a short break. He was rested for India's last two white-ball tours to West Indies and Zimbabwe, following an extended lean patch with the bat.
Following the break, Kohli seems to be in a good frame of mind and he is expected to regain his old touch during the Asia Cup.

Ahead of India’s opening game, Virat attempted a rather unorthodox shot against wrist-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal during a practise session.
In a video doing rounds on social media, Kohli can be seen executing a switch hit on a full-toss delivery from Chahal. After the shot, both Kohli and Chahal had a fist bump and shared a laugh with each other.

India’s Asia Cup 2022 opener against Pakistan will be Virat Kohli’s 100th T20I match as well. The right-hander has so far amassed 3308 runs in 99 T20Is at an average of 50.12 and a strike rate of 137.66 with 30 half-centuries.
