Speaking to Geo News, Usman Qadir said that his dream is to perform like his father against India and if he gets an opportunity in the Asia Cup he will try to take advantage of it.
“My father had good performances against India. I also want to follow in his footsteps and perform well. If I get a chance to play against India in the Asia Cup, I will definitely take advantage of this opportunity,” Usman Qadir said.
Qadir said that he’s looking forward to the opportunity and he’s confident that Pakistan will do good in the Asia Cup.
"I look forward to the opportunity and try to make the most of it when I get the chance. I am physically and mentally ready if I get a chance. Following Pakistan's performance against the Netherlands, we will get to see good results in Asia Cup against allteams including India,” he said.
Qadir said that he follows South African cricketer Imran Tahir and contacts him if he faces any problem.
"I have tried to bowl well and working giving fewer runs in my spells. Imran Tahir bowls with variety in an over and does not leak runs and I try to play like him," he said.
Qadir so far has played 18 T20Is for Pakistan, in which he has taken 24 wickets at an economy of 7.58 to go with the best bowling figures of 4/13.
