WTC 2023 Final: WATCH- Mohammed Siraj throws ball at stumps after Steve Smith pulls out; engages in verbal duel

Siraj was frustrated as Smith had hit back-to-bac boundaries of him to reach his 31st Test ton.

The day two of the ongoing ICC WTC 2023 final saw some heated moments as Mohammed Siraj, unhappy with Steve Smith pulling out of his stance just as he was running into bowl, threw the ball at the stumps and also engaged in verbal banter with the batter.

At the start of Day 2, Smith was batting on 95 and the veteran batter was able to reach his 31st Test century with the help of two back-to-back boundaries off Siraj. This was also his 9^th Test ton against India.

On the fourth ball of the over, Smith moved away from his stumps before the ball was delivered due to some issue with the spider cam but it did not go down well with Siraj. The fast bowler finished his run-up and just threw the ball in the stumps' direction.

Smith reacted shocked at Siraj’s gesture, while the bowler had some words to say to him.

On the other hand, India managed to break the partnership between Smith and Travis Head, but not before Head had scored 163 runs in 174 balls, as he was caught behind by Bharat off Siraj.
