Australia batter Marnus Labuschagne showed great wit and spirit after admitting his mistake for getting out for a duck on day one of the second Test against Pakistan in Karachi, on March 12, 2022.

Pat Cummins won the toss and chose to bat first in Karachi, a decision that was justified by his batters. Mitchell Swepson made his Test debut, the first leg-spinner to do so since 2009. Usman Khawaja made 127*, while Steve Smith made 72 as Australia finished day one on 251/3.

Meanwhile, another run machine of the Aussie team and world’s no.1 Test batter Marnus Labuschagne could only manage to stay on the field for 15 minutes and 9 balls and was run out for a duck.

It all happened on the last delivery of the 21st over when Labuschagne played a Nauman Ali delivery towards Sajid Khan at mid-off. Having called for a single, Labuschagne would be cursing himself for not being able to complete the run.

The right-handed batter is known for loudly calling no-run after hitting the ball and has been heard on stump mic numerous times during his various innings and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) used that for their funny caption while sharing the video of his dismissal.

No run for Marnus today,” PCB captioned the video.

After the end of the day’s play, Marnus shared a sad face photo of himself admitting that, it was indeed, “Yep.. fair to say that was no run
