Australia opener Marcus Harris was caught on the stump mic criticizing the Hot Spot for a blunder during his review in the first innings of the third Ashes 2021-22 Test. He was the top scorer for Australia in the first innings with 76 runs off 189 deliveries before getting out to England's James Anderson.

Harris had survived an LBW decision when he was adjudged out on 36 runs off Ben Stokes by the umpire Paul Reiffel before lunch. But he successfully reviewed the decision, with Snicko confirming a slight edge before the ball hit his pads.

Before the Snicko saved Harris from walking back to the pavilion, Hot Spot technology showed nothing on his bat. The Aussie batter admitted he was not certain he had hit the ball but there was a big mark on his bat.

“I wasn’t like 100 percent sure, but I had a big mark on my bat,” Harris told Stokes. "I thought it might have clipped both pads and maybe a little inside edge. Hot Spot’s f***ing hopeless."

The commentators had a laugh about Harris' criticism of Hot Spot and Kerry O’Keeffe, in the commentary box, jokingly said: “I don’t think he’ll get a consultancy role with Hot Spot.”

England bowlers bowled out Australia on 267, but they have ended Day 2 with 31/4 on the scoreboard. The Joe Root-led side had scored 185 runs in the first innings and they will have to pull off something special from here to save the match.
