Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by 8 wickets in first Test in Chattogram.
Pakistani pacer Shaheen Afridi lauded his bowling partner, Hassan Ali, saying that he enjoys bowling with the latter as he helps him to put the opposition under the pressure.
Pakistan crunched Bangladesh by 8 wickets in the first Test match in Chattogram to go 0-1 up in the series.
One of the main architects behind visitors’ victory in the first Test against Bangladesh was the pace-bowling duo of Hassan Ali and Shaheen Afridi. Both took seven wickets each in the match, including fifer in the first and second innings respectively.

Both Hassan Ali and Shaheen Afridi have been the mainstay of Pakistan’s bowling line-up this year in the longest format of the game. The duo has scalped 83 wickets between in the Tests played in 2021.
While speaking to reporters on the eve of the second Test match against Bangladesh, Pakistani pacer Shaheen Afridi said that he enjoys bowling with Hassan Ali as they bowl in partnership and always plan between themselves. He revealed that when batter plays well the duo plan how to confuse him.
"I enjoy bowling with him. This year he has 39 wickets, I have 44. We bowl in partnership and plan between ourselves. If a batsman plays well we plan how we can hold or confuse him. This is why I enjoy bowling with him. He is a fighter,” Shaheen Afridi said.
Afridi admitted that wickets in the subcontinent are slow and spin-friendly but as a fast bowler if you keep yourself fit and strong it’s possible to be effective in Asian conditions as well.
"The wickets in Asia are more or less slow. People say spinners get more assistance here. But if you are physically strong and have the strength it is possible to be effective here. You need to bowl in a partnership," he said.
Shaheen Afridi said that momentum in his side is good and they are ready for the second Test. He remarked that Pakistan will fight and end the series on a good note.
"Momentum is good and the team combination is also brilliant. The boys are ready for the second Test. Of course, we will fight and end the series on a good note,” he said.
