A New Zealand-based website trolled India captain Virat Kohli with a disrespectful post after the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final. The Indian captain was dismissed twice by Kyle Jamieson in the match and the post had the same context.

The Alternative Commentary Collective (ACC) shared a meme showing Jamieson, represented by a young woman holding Kohli, represented by an old man, with a strap around his neck.

The post tried to show Kohli was owned by Jamieson in the WTC final but the meme used was below the belt. Indian fans were upset with the unnecessary dig at their skipper.

New Zealand has been crowned as the first-ever WTC winners. India failed to stop Ross Taylor and Kane Williamson in the fourth innings who took their side home in a 139-run chase.

The Test match saw two full days of play get washed out due to rain and there were fewer chances of a result in the favor of either side. But Day 6, which was a reserve day, produced the result after New Zealand bowlers bundled out India for 170 runs.

Kohli was the first one to go on Day 6 as Jamieson got him out caught behind. The lanky pacer picked up a fifer in the first innings and two wickets in the second innings. He won the Player-of-the-Match award for his performance.
