Rain has played spoilsport in the ongoing WTC 2021 final so far.
Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag trolled ICC on Twitter after rain once again played spoilsport on day 4 of the WTC 2021 final.
After a complete washout on Day 1 of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final, the weather conditions once again played a spoilsport as Day 4 was abandoned due to incessant rain without a ball being bowled.
The continuous rain allowed no play on the fourth day, and that leaves both sides a maximum of 196 overs that also includes a reserve day to decide a winner.
The decision to host the WTC 2021 Final in England has invited severe criticism from all across the globe as many fans and pundits slammed ICC given the weather in England at this time of the year is unpredictable.
Virender Sehwag trolled ICC on his Twitter for their timing to host the final in the UK at this time of the year.
"Batsman ko bhi Timing nahi mili dhang ki, aur ICC ko bhi. (The batsman didn't get his timing right and neither did the ICC),” Virender Sehwag Tweeted.
Coming to the match, Team India were bowled out for 217 runs as Kyle Jamieson’s fifer jolted the Indian batting line-up. In response, New Zealand was 101 for 2 with Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor at the crease at stumps on Day 3.
