Team India batsmen struggled a lot against the New Zealand pacers in the final of the inaugural edition of the World Test Championship (WTC 2021 final) at Southampton. The four Kiwi pacers swung the ball both ways to trouble Virat Kohli and Co.

India was bowled out for 217 in the first innings and the Indian pacers were expected to do the same, but the Indian pace unit consisting of Ishant Sharma, Mohammad Shami, and Jasprit Bumrah could not get the same swing with the Dukes ball.

As a result, the New Zealand batsman was seen scoring runs easily and looked to be in control. This led to Virender Sehwag to post a hilarious tweet about the lack of swing by the Indian pacers that left everyone in splits.

Mood swing ho gaya, ball nahi huyi. (The mood swung but not the ball) #WTCFinal21,” Sehwag wrote on Twitter.

Another former India opener and Sehwag’s ex-teammate Wasim Jaffer, who is known for his sarcastic tweets, posted a really comic meme about the unending swing by the Kiwi pacers.

Indian batsmen this morning #WTCFinal,” Jaffer wrote as the caption.

As far as the WTC final is concerned, New Zealand has managed to get 101 runs on the board at the loss of 2 wickets before the play on Day 3 was called off due to bad light.
