India's wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant and Cheteshwar Pujara rated the Gabba Test as their favorite match in red-ball cricket. Team India had defeated Australia by three wickets in the last Test match of Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2020/21 to win the series.
Pant and Pujara were the heroes for India on the final day as they contributed to the victory at a crucial stage. They had piled up a game-changing partnership together. Speaking about the historic win, both the batsmen named the Gabba win as the one closest to their heart.

"For me, Gabba is one of my best Test matches which I have played also," said Pant in a video posted by ICC on Twitter. "Personally which I have played is definitely at the Gabba. As a batsman, my favorite knock is at Adelaide but as an Indian team, my favorite Test is at the Gabba," Pujara said in the clip.
India speedster Jasprit Bumrah picked his debut match against South Africa in 2018 as his favorite Test match. "My favorite Test match was the first one that I played in South Africa because a lot of hard work was put in before that and I really wanted to play Tests," he said.
New Zealand players, who are going to face Team India in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final, also featured in the video. Kiwi pacers Trent Boult and Tim Southee picked debut Test and 2005 Ashes their favorite game respectively in the longest format.
"My first one will obviously be pretty memorable. The match against Australia in 2011 which we won by six runs," said Boult.
"Any Test match you (have) won is always special. As a fan watching the 2005 Ashes Test series was something that really equipped me as a cricket fan," said Southee.
