Prasad also called the journalist "Mr. Miserable".
The journalist on Twitter backed New Zealand for the upcoming ICC World Test Championship, however, he used a communal angle in order to justify his comment. The journalist CJ Werleman’s Twitter bio shows that he is a global correspondent for Byline Times and a columnist for Inside Arabia.
Venkatesh Prasad called out the journalist on Twitter and said that he lived a miserable and sad life. He also added that it doesn’t matter who wins the ICC WTC Final while slamming publications for allowing such kinds of people to use their platform.
“I’m rooting for New Zealand in the ICC Test Championship Final because imagining 500 million Hindutva extremists being happy, even for a second, makes me miserable,” Werleman tweeted.
Prasad slammed him for his words and tweeted, “Whoever wins is fine, but what a sad low and miserable life this man is. The fact that this man is given an opportunity to write in publications speaks poorly of the publications. Get well soon Mr Miserable”
The high-octane World Test Championship Final will see India lock horns with New Zealand in Southampton from June 18.
