Team India opener Mayank Agarwal expressed his excitement for the upcoming tour of England, where they will play ICC World Test Championship final against New Zealand and then later five-Test series against Joe Root-led side.

The WTC final will be played between 18th to 22nd June, while the five-Test series against England will begin from 4th England.

Team India is currently undergoing quarantine in Mumbai before flying to the UK. The Virat Kohli-led side is undergoing training sessions in their quarantine.

Talking to his official Instagram account Indian opener Mayank Agarwal posted a story and revealed that preparations are going strong.

“Preparations are going strong and the excitement is building up”, Mayank Agarwal captioned the picture.

Mayank Agarwal was last seen in action in IPL 2021. The Karnataka batsman amassed 260 runs for Punjab Kings in seven matches, including a spectacular 99 not-out.

However, even since the emergence of Shubman Gill in the squad, Mayank Agarwal has found it difficult to find a place in the playing XI. With the WTC final to be played next, it would be interesting to see if management will show trust in Mayank Agarwal or not.
